I was just wondering if there is a way to increase surface thickness instead of just roof floor thickness.
Roof thickness makerbot.
If there are visible gaps on the roof part of your model or you d like a stronger print increasing the roof thickness might help.
Hi i currently own a ctc dual and i am using makerbot dekstop 3 8 1 with it.
Roof sheathing standard roof sheathing which consists of 4 by 8 sheets of plywood or oriented strand board or osb is 1 2 inch thick and attaches directly to the roof rafters or the roof trusses.
If rooflayercount is enabled this setting will not be used.
Sets the thickness of your object s solid roof in millimeters.
A lower layer height will result in a smoother surface.
The roof and floor settings affect the solid layers that form the top and bottom of each print.
Roofthickness sets the thickness of your object s solid roof in millimeters.
Ideally the floor for the box needs to be an exact whole multiple of the layer height.
When this setting is used roof thickness is independent of layer height and number of layers.
The 4 mm nozzle on a makerbot 3d printer may not be able to print well at layer heights higher than 35 mm.
Adjusts the thickness of roof sections of the model.
Floor thickness adjusts how thick the base layer bottom of first step will be and roof thickness will adjust the thickness of the surface of the 3rd.
Heres a scenario imagine a staircase consisting of 3 steps.
In general a roof truss manufactured from 2 by 4 lumber will support as much roof load as a 2 by 6 or 2 by 8 rafter.
When this setting is used roof thickness is independent of layer height and number of layers.
When i made these pins from memory.
Use layer height to set the thickness of your printed object s individual layers.
Makerbot is here to support the medical community at this time to help combat the shortage of necessary supplies.
0 35mm to 0 45mm seems to do it depending on your layer height.
An object with a higher layer height will print faster.
Too thick and you get two walls.
It seems to be a threshold to small and nothing will slice.
If we were to make it the same thickness as the walls it.
